Starting in 2020, I teamed up with a group of multi-disciplinary friends at the University of Cincinnati to pursue the development of a new to the world product. The Zoza Beacon would be a portable SOS device designed for outdoor exercise – maintaining safety without the burden of bringing a phone. Building the idea from the ground up, we won pitch competitions, made prototypes, and launched a public pre-seed funding round. As the solo designer on the team, I was responsible for designing the brand, the product, the companion app, the website, pitch decks, social media posts, and for shooting the supporting photography and videography across these channels.
